June 1 - V-Day

Posted on Saturday, March 28th, 2009 in News

We have reached a stage where something has to be done about the “sleepers” who join Birthday Bonus Club hoping to get “something for nothing” - so – June 1 2009 has been declared V-Day.

What is “V-Day” - it’s Verify Day – the day by which you must have verified your membership of either MoneyBookers or AlertPay and – preferably – both. If you have not verified your membership of one or both payment processors – your membership will be dropped.

The schedule is as follows :

  • Immediate – all current Birthday Requests – from February 1 2009 will have their expiry extended to 90 days – so, if you still have outstanding Birthday Requests, you have until end-May to make your donation.
  • Immediate – we will launch our 50% Off Ad Sale for the next two weeks. You will be able to verify your MoneyBookers account for any amount between $0.50 and $50.00 and we will double that amount in Ad Credits. A fifty cent payment satisfies the verification requirement – a fifty dollar amount gets you One Hundred Dollars in advertising that you can use any time in the future. There’s also a bonus - every member who joins MoneyBookers during the Sale will improve their Personal Rating.
  • April 11 2009 - the sale ends and verification of your MoneyBookers account will cost you $1.00 - which will be added to your Ad Credits account.
  • May 2 2009 - Birthday Request expiry will revert to 30 days.
  • June 1 2009 - V-Day - if you have not verified your MoneyBookers and/or AlertPay account - your membership will be dropped!

There is no fixed date for the AlertPay verification procedure to be available. This is because we are waiting to see just what AlertPay will do about their current Credit Card situation. Once they have something in place, we will introduce a procedure similar to that used for MoneyBookers

About the AlertPay verification I think that as long as we have been sending our gifts our membership should not be dropped.

I personally have not verified my account but I have sent a couple of birthday bonuses that should count for something :(

  2. JOhn Valachovic Says:

It’s not hard to get you account verified just take your ID’s to a copy store with a CD and have them scan it to a jpg file and presto. You can send it to alert pay.

  3. heygoalkeeper Says:

I agree with Michelle, we should not be dropped if we’ve been sending out gifts from AlertPay. It’s not even our fault we can’t verify our account, and I don’t want to go through all the trouble of setting up another account with MoneyBookers. I already did that with AlertPay.

  4. Desmond Says:

When I try to follow through on a Birthday Request I get the the following AlertPay Message We’re sorry, this seller’s account does not permit selling online. Account upgrade is required. What is going on with AlertPay

  5. squirrel605 Says:

I will try to copy my information and send it to alert pay. I will be joining moneybrokers. I think I belonged to them at one point.

  6. Rebecca Says:

If someone is disabled and not able to get out well, is there ANY other way to verify AlertPay? We had a flatbed scanner but it doesn’t work now.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Plus, I agree with Michelle, dropping a good paying member doesnt seem like a good idea.

  8. heygoalkeeper Says:

Desmond, do you have at least a Personal Pro account?

  9. Patrick Says:

Hi! Whatever happened to Paypal. I am set up with them from the beginning. Are they still valid for BBC. I hate having to add all these payment processors that either come and go or just keep having problems. I would prefer to stick with PayPal if that’s OK.
Thanks for your help. I haven’t got any requests lately. How come?

    Have a great day!

  10. admin Says:

Which planet have you been on Patrick? We have NEVER used PayPal and are very unlikely ever to do so.

    Tom

  11. Susan Says:

The only thing I do not like about AlertPay is that it takes 5-6 business days to transfer money from your AP account to your personal bank account. PayPal does it within a couple days and I realize PayPal is not very friendly with MLM or that type of program.

This is very up-to-date information. I’ll share it on Delicious.

I have been verified by AltertPay and by Moneybookers. I do not understand what you mean by verifying it with you. I have only had 2 requests. One of which wasn’t even mine that you sent me an email regarding a payback. The first one went through anyway. That’s fine, I really don’t care in the long run, as long as it doesn’t happen again, but the second one I have asked 2 or 3 times for their email address so that I can send payment. I still have not even received a reply on that one. I cannot send a payment to outer space and hope it gets there. I still await the email address so that I can send the payment; it is well past the recipient’s birthday now, and you have given me only till April 23rd for me to get it to them. Then please send me their email address. Thank you. My last point is in agreement with Michelle. Sounds like bad business to me if you cut someone out of memebership just because they haven’t “bought” advertising directly from you yet. What gives??!

  14. squirrel605 Says:

I am a member of moneybookers. I just submitted my credit card as soon as it clears the bank, I will let you know.

I do like this site. My birthday is coming up soon.

  15. squirrel605 Says:

I just verified my information with moneybookers. How do I get that information to you? It was very simple.

  16. Debbie Says:

I have created my moneybookers account, so now how do I change alertpay as my preferred payer? I cannot see where I can change my info for money bookers to come up as my preferred payment method.

Any urgent tips would be appreciated.

  17. Pamela Says:

Ok, I’m totally frickin confused at this point. First you say we have to verify our alertpay account to you by June 1, then you immediately say there’s no date set for that procedure! I, like others, CANNOT FIND anything about putting my alertpay account in *test* mode.

AND it looks like I will either be forced to up grade my alertpay account to receive 4 payments or let those payments go. It will end up costing me more to upgrade with all the fees than I will actually receive this year. So I’m not sure what to do about any of this at this point.

  18. phoenix Says:

Could someone please explain why we need to verify to continue with membership? Verification wasn’t required when I sent my payments to my upline. Why should it be required now? I will not be submitting any of my confidential identity documents to ANY company or site, so if that means I’m dropped, I guess I’m dropped. What about my downline?

    Maybe I’m misunderstanding something here…

  19. cdancamp Says:

I think all this Alert Pay, Moneybookers, Paypal is a waste of time. If all the people in the BBC are so frugal and dishonest maybe they should get out. I believe we should get an email of who has a birthday, along with their email address, and just
send them the $5 in an envelope. Hey people, it’s only $5 once a month!!!,12 times a year! If you cannot afford that then”Good-Bye!” Most all gifting programs used UPS or Fed-Ex. There was no paypal or whatever. It worked perfectly.
This system isn’t working anyway>!! I sent to my sponsor and he never received it
and I did join Alert Pay and sent it thru them!! People, there has to be a better way. Lets find it!

  20. squirrel605 Says:

Is Moneybookers okay now with BBC. I have verified now with alertpay and moneybookers. Do I need to send any information to BBC regarding my verification?

    Thank you.

  21. neeleh Says:

I don’t understand how and why we should verify our Alertpay account here at BBC. I have a personal pro account that is verified by AlertPay. till now i followed every request you send me except the last but that person did not have an Alertpay account, it is a bit difficult to send it to the moon. I am surely not giving to you identifications documents. that is completely absurd, in my opinion you have no right to ask this from us. if that means i will be dropped out, so be it, neeleh
by the way, why can’t we see anymore our rating and the requests we honored?

  22. squirrel605 Says:

Anyone tried today to get on to alertpay. I was having trouble. I was going to put some more money in my account. I get an error message when I go to the website.

I’ll try again later. It may be our weather.

  23. squirrel605 Says:

I was able to get on. I guess it was down for maintenance.

  24. Steven Says:

    Hello,

I have not received any emails from BBC stating that I had to verify my AlertPay account. It is just by chance that I went on my site and saw this today. Hence, I’ve tried to verify my account with AlertPay but get a message that their site is down for maintenance and to try again later. I hope that you will extend this
for a few more days and please check to make sure that you have indeed sent me an email regarding this. Thank you so much. Steve

  25. Alexandra McAllister Says:

    Hello,

After several attempts, I finally got to my AlertPay account and verified my account according to your instructions. BUT I never received an email from BBC asking me to do so. Would you please check to make sure that an email was sent to me. Today is the 3rd of June and I noticed that we had till June 1st. I do hope you will extend this a few more days. Thank you. Alexandra

  26. Josh Charlie Says:

For some reason, I have such a hard time with these darn captcha codes. So glad this place doesnt’ use it! You can hardly read them!

  27. Phyllis Says:

So. No answer to my question. More than a month since my birthday, and no gifts. Have, however, received two more requests for payment. Not looking good, admin guys. There is absolutely no ‘need’ to be verified with Alertpay, my previous gifts to others went through without any problem, the flow can and should work in both directions just as easily. Again, if I’m misunderstanding something, please clarify.
